Dear Marysville Parents and Guardians,

Your children have begun to take out books from the Marysville Library. Please help them understand the responsibilities of using a Library.

K-5 classes have a Library Day when books can be taken out and need to be returned. Your child’s teacher can tell you that day. Kindergarten and 1st grades will be keeping their books at school. Older students will be bringing library books home.

You can help your child by having a regular place at home to keep library books. Remind them about returning books if they are forgetful. If your child cannot find a book, please help them look for it. Keep books away from food and pets!

Books can be checked out for two weeks. You will now be receiving overdue notices by e-mail. If books are not returned on time, your child will not be able to check out another book until the missing book is returned or paid for.

If a book is lost, please help your child find a way to pay for it. I have found that children are more responsible with books after paying for lost ones. I will accept payment plans –even quarters!

If you have any questions, I am in the Library Tues, Wed. and Thursday afternoons. I can always use help shelving books!
